Week of 21 - 27 September, 2015

OMG! Could I have BEEN any busier this weekend? First of all, I had a gig (I sing and play guitar) on Saturday, so Friday we did an acoustic rehearsal... without the bass player cuz he was working late. It was nearly midnight by the time the set list was straightened out.

Then Saturday as I was driving into town, my windshield wipers stopped working! That was fun... NOT! Driving down the highway in the drizzle with no wipers. Not suggested. I did find a garage that had a loaner though, so I grabbed what I needed and made the gig on time. That was a lot of fun, once we started (long story).

Then I had an audition to get to back up Island, and sang THOSE two songs over and over and over again. Still forgot words but I had a good audition, and today I get a call-back for the drama portion of the show. Wish me luck.

All that to say - the lotto ticket is in the car and the car is in the shop so no 'proof' that we didn't win. But we didn't win. More for us next week. And that's why there was no weekend update post.

Kool FM is still playing Beat the Bank. Here's the info on it: starting on the 7th and running until the 16th of October, each weekday at 7:10, 8:10 and 4:10 you be caller 25 who calls in to 250-386-1073 to win up to $25,000! There's a special Work Day Play at 11:10 where they announce a Klub Kool member's name and they get to play! Gotta call in before 10 minutes and 73 seconds go by to play. If that person doesn't call in time, then the extra play is NOT played. Thursdays you have more chances as it's their Blitz day - they want a player EVERY hour (10 minutes after each hour) starting at 6:10AM and going til 5:10PM. Simply listen for the sound of the vault to open. It'll say how much is inside. Stop the vault before the alarm goes off and you win that much money! Minimum amount is $107.3, so even that's great! YAY! I won the Paul Brandt tickets from Ocean this morning and it was fun! The DJs are so personable and funny on the air and really nice off air too. I find myself listening to them on the way in to work and then the Q for the rest of the day... flicking back and forth between Ocean (Artist of the Day) and Kool (Workday Play for Beat the Bank) at specific times.

I accidentally hung up on a ringing line for the Polka Monster *duh*... maybe tomorrow I'll be more clued in.
