This is a rough day for me. My father passed away on the 29th of Feb in 2008, so on the 'off' years, I kinda try to distract myself from it. I mean, I think of him all the time and we have a photo of him on the fridge, so he's always in our thoughts, kwim? But the actual DAY approaches and things get a little shittier, thoughts get a little darker, I get a little snappier. I'll get over it - my family is super supportive and I try to look at the bright side of life (as per Monty Python's instructions) - but for one day I remember the man who loved me unconditionally and who left us earlier than he should have. So please, hug your parent, hug your child, hug your spouse. Cuz you just never know.
