So you know when a station says it'll play AT a certain time? Well, silly me, I expect it AT that time. Not before, and maybe a minute or so after. I usually set my alarms for 2 minutes prior to the time they state, just to make sure. What irks me is when they play 3-4-5 minutes before the time.

If they're going to do that, then they should say AROUND a certain time. Yes, Ocean afternoon show, I'm looking at you! It says 10 past the hour, then it's 10 past the hour. Not 4 or 5 past the hour, mmmmkay?

These are contests. I have a life. I enjoy trying to play the contests and helping others to do so successfully by sharing hints or guesses or key words or whathaveyou. I also enjoy doing other things in my life. I often have appointments or I am away from the radio during contest times. If at all possible I do my best to wait for the contest, but I can't do that if the contest is played BEFORE the time stated.

So... no real point I guess, other than to thank those who tell me the hints when I miss them and to scowl at stations who change their timings arbitrarily.
