It's the "not really a long weekend but we might take two extra days off" kind of week. Having a day off in the middle seems to make the week go longer in my view. At least the weather is awesome! Hope you're all getting some vitamin D while you can.
Here's what's up for the week (so far).
Nanaimo
The Wave has Tim Horton's cards for their chocolate chill. Listen for your cue to call. They also have their Retro Lunch and the Friday Morning Power Hour.
The Wolf is taking qualifiers for their weekly VISA . This week is kayaking around Newcastle Island by Alberni Outpost for you and 5 friends. Be quick - caller 5 gets entered when you hear your cue to call. This week they're offering Tim Horton's cards so you can try out their chocolate chill (it's awesome but has a full day's calories in them!). You'll hear your cue to call all week. They have their regular Rock Request lunch too.
Coast
also has the Choose Your Own Adventure contest. Each entry costs 1000
points, so get those codes and do the new poll and rack 'em up! They sent me a weekly newsletter but the code they sent didn't work. That's kinda irritating to say the least. Their Up For Grabs for 500 points are: $50 g/c to Shoe Designer Warehouse; $25 iTunes card; and $25 g/c to Amazon. For 1,000 points you can enter their Choose Your Own Adventure raffles: Trip for 4 to Disneyland; trip for 2 to NYC; trip for 4 to Las Vegas; trip for 2 to Europe; trip for 2 on the Rocky Mountaineer train. There are no new opinions, polls, or trivia questions.

Duncan
The Choose Your Own Adventure
contest that Juice is running is awesome. You can enter to win a trip to the Canadian Rockies
on a train, Vegas for 4, Disneyland for 4, New York for 2, or Europe
for 2. How get 1000 points? Go to their 4-Star Merchants for a code worth 1000 points:
Merit Furniture, Mobil 1 Lube, Hyundai, OceanFront Suites, and Duncan Vacuum
House, Tire Exchange, Papa Murphy's. You can go each month to get them. I went to Merit yesterday and it was right behind the main counter. Easy!I took a picture so I couldn't forget and entered it when I had the chance. Then I entered the CYOA contest because I had the points right then and there! Next time I'm running through town, I'll pop in somewhere else and get that code too. I think it's a great way for the merchants to get more traffic in their stores and for the customer to maybe check something out they haven't thought of before.
The 4 Star Showcases for 500 points are: Stay and Eat and Oceanfront Suites; $1,000 central vacuum system from Duncan Vacuum; $1,000 g/c to Merit Furniture; free pizza for a year from Papa Murphy's; car care for a year from Mobil 1; winter tires from Tire Exchange; $1,500 Pro Pack from Duncan Hyundai. The Free Store offers these: car detailing (2,000 points), lube oil and service (1,500 points), or tire rotation (1,000 points) from Duncan Hyundai; different pizza specials from Papa Murphy's Monday-Thursday for 500 points each.
They're running the Famous Mike contest until Wednesday. You get the right guy and you'll get a $25 g/c to Mr Mike's.

Victoria
The Zone has tickets to Deep Sea Gypsie's EP release party. I heard them at the April Wine concert and they're not bad. They do a kickin' cover of a Zep song and they have one that's really catchy we should be hearing on the radio soon. Listen to Pol's midday show for your chance to win all week. He will also have deets on the new Quick Trip. On the morning show, you can win full event tix and camping to Rock of the Woods AND tix to Squamish Valley Music Fest. The evening show has your shot at tix to the Fast Romantics show. You can
still enter your kid to be a Mini Rock on their webpage. Dylan vs the World Trivia every morning for a mug, and the Pet Photobooth Pet of the Month for a $75 g/c to Pet's Choice is still going on too.
The Q is giving your kid a chance at being a Mini Rock on their webpage too, and of course, there's the Rock Door, Polka Monster, Retro A-Go-Go and Monday Night Golf
at Olympic View all week. Make sure to enter your dream golf partner to
Ryan@theq.fm and he'll draw this week's winner on Friday afternoon. You can enter their Rock N Roll Iron Man contest where the winner gets to go to Aerosmith in Victoria on the 16th, Rush in Vancouver on the 17th, and then Rock the Shores on the 18th. Listen all day long for Sabbath's "I Am Iron Man" and be caller 25 to get qualified. They'll draw 3 finalists on the 6th and on the 8th, they'll go into the studio to compete. The cue can come anytime from Monday until the 5th of July (Sunday). I'm sure there'll be more contests coming all week.
Ocean wants you to enter your workplace for an Office Interruption and your kid to be a Harbourcats' Ball Kid on their webpage. Battle of the Sexes comes back on Thursday. Anything new will be up online tomorrow.
KiSS has all their contests over as of either Friday or Sunday. If anything new comes up, I'll add it in tomorrow.
Kool FM has a glitch with their survey system. I tried three times to fill it out because this week's prize is a trip on the Clipper, but I keep getting, "We are not currently running a survey" and that's a real bummer. On Kool Mornings this week, the main prize is $75 to Best Sneakers. If you haven't already, enter here for their Barn BQ contest. A winner is drawn every day for a $25 g/c to Red Barn and they give away the first BBQ party on 3 July. NOTHING else is up on their site yet, which is a total surprise to me because usually they're ahead of the curve.
