Weekend of 6 & 7 June, 2015

Ahhhh the weekend. I am so looking forward to hanging out, getting more sun... laundry... groceries... housework... *sigh* I'll get our lottery ticket checked tomorrow while I'm out and about and post our results on the Facebook page. Fingers, toes, eyes and legs crossed!

Anyway! Here's what the stations have going on this weekend (if anything):

The raffles and such on Juice FM are:

- Golf for 2 at Duncan Meadows or Golf for 2 at Cowichan Golf & Country Club (each 250 points to enter).
- Up For Grabs: $25 Amazon g/c, $50 Designer Shoe Warehouse g/c, or $25 iTunes g/c each 500 points to enter.
- 4 Star Showcase: Oceanfront Stay & Eat, Mobil 1 Lube Express Car Care for a year, $1000 to Merit Home Furniture, Free pizza for a year from Papa Murphy's, winter tires from Tire Exchange, $1000 central vacuum system from Duncan Vacuum House, or a $1500 pro pack car package from Duncan Hyundai - each 500 points to enter.

They also have a new poll up for an instant 100 points.

On their Instant Buy, for 2000 points you can get a free interior vacuum and interior wash from Duncan Hyundai, or for 1500 points you can get a free lube & oil service, and for 1000 points you can get a free tire rotation and vehicle inspection from them. For 500 points, you can get a $13 large pizza on a Tuesday, a $9 pepperoni on a Monday, a $10 rancher pizza on a Thursday, or a 2 for 1 side on a Wednesday from Papa Murphy's.

All week the Wolf in Nanaimo has has NOTHING on their concert page. Today they've put up a couple:

Vancouver Island Summer Adventures: every day listen for your cue to call, be caller 5, and get entered into the weekly draw. Each Friday they'll announce a winner to that week's adventure. This week (8-14?) is go-cart racing at Fast Time Grand Prix.

On their Rock Request Lunch, you could win tix to the Timbermen game that week AND the $25 Smitty's g/c.

The Wave has nothing new.

In Victoria, the Q has nothing going on, nor have they given hints as to what's coming up next week.

Kool FM has some neat contests next week. First, you could win advance screening movie tix to Me, Earl & the Dying Girl by winning them on both the mid-day and the afternoon shows. They have more Harbourcats tix on the mid-day show as well, and their Kool 5 @ 5 are Marvel Universe Tix (gotta win me some of those). The Kool Morning prize next week is mostly $100 g/c to Sora Spa. If your kids like the Bubble Guppies, win beat the box office tix next week on the morning show or some pre-Taste tix, also on the morning show. Their Wedding Dance package is in it's last week, so email them why you need to win this at promotions@1073kool.fm

Keep entering the KiSS Morning Quickie to win $25 to the Blue Crab Seafood House Patio Party (until June 25th). Remember to enter your dad (mine would have killed me if I did) to get into the Battle for the Dads. Enter here. If you're a member of KiSS NATiON, you have until midnight Sunday to enter online raffles for Marvel Universe Live tix, Western Speedway Strawberry Cup tix, and Navy Run entry.

Did you win the first Free Trip Friday from Ocean 98.5? Did you get in at all? My phone is a jerk. I'm either number 3, or I get a ringing then the phone hangs up on me. Anyway, keep trying all this month for this awesome get away. Enter your kid to be a Harbourcats Batkid for the season here. Listen to Mel Z for your shot at $25 in slot play for the casino and then use your VIP points to enter the grand prize raffle of a River Rock Casino getaway. You can also use your points until midnight on Sunday to enter raffles for Marvel Universe Live tix and the Navy Run entry.

This coming week on the afternoon show on The Zone, you could win beat the box office tix to Florence & the Machine's concert in Vancouver. New Music Monday has your chance at Muse's new album, Drones. The morning show will give you a shot at a full festival pass to the Tall Tree Music Festival. To win the coveted Dylan Vs the World travel mug, beat him at trivia at 8:40 in the morning.

Welp, that's it for the weekend. I'll be back Sunday with a look ahead for the week and then again Monday once the stations have their stuff up online.

Hope you all keep safe and wear sunscreen!
