Week of 2-8 November 2015

WOW! November already! I usually start preparing for Christmas about half-way through the month. I do a lot of baking and 'make-able' gifts. I don't start before the 11th though - as a Veteran it's very important to me to observe the sacrifices of previous service members before I get into the holiday spirit. Besides, there's so much going on that the 15th'll be here before I know it.

Here's what the stations have in store this week.
Nanaimo

The Wolf still has the Music Mess (every day) and NYLA (Tuesdays only) contests up on their page, and the tix for Buccaneers and Clippers. The Smitty's lunch give-away is back now for a $25 g/c to Smitty's during the lunch hour. With luck they'll have something cool coming up. *sound familiar? Yes, it's the same as last week. It'd be nice if they'd update on the weekend*

The Wave was giving away tix to a VIU production of Tartuffe this weekend. I wish they had that up on FRIDAY when I checked last... They don't have anything showing for their 5 at 5 prize, but there are Buccaneers tix on Thursday. Their Retro Lunch is back where you could win a $25 g/c to Ricky's and you can nominate your work place for a Friday Morning Power Hour prize pack here. Nothing else is showing, but I'm sure there'll be more tomorrow.

Coast has their Coffee Break on Wednesday - enter on their page. There are no new trivia, polls, or opinions up. Their only raffle is for 500 points per entry; a trip to Sandals Ochi beach resort in Jamaica. This is a multi-market raffle, so you're competing against Juice and Kelowna's stations. They also have the Budget Blinds contest up. Take a photo of a room that could use a make-over and upload it to their site with an explanation why. This is also another multi-market contest.

Juice has no new trivia, polls, or opinions up. Their raffles are: tix to the CWAV Gala for 250 points each (2 sets) but it closes on Wednesday at 7:59pm, two sets of tix to Fashion Rocks for Charity (250 points each) which closes MONDAY at 7:59pm, and the big one - a trip to Ochi Resort in Jamaica for 500 points per entry. The Zone has a new look to their contest page. Interesting format. They have passes to Free Movie Monday with "Love the Coopers" given away all day. The Q is entering their last week of  the Pump You Up with a ductless heat pump system. This time around, there's TWO up for grabs!
